Efes Mediterranean Grill: Discover Authentic Turkish Cuisine in New Brunswick

Everything about this restaurant is spot on. The decor, the service, even the restrooms. The food, though... the food is amazing. The bread for the babaganoush was steaming and crispy when it hit the table. The sauces were spicy (red) and cooling (yogurt) in perfect balance. The kebabs were perhaps the best have ever had, including trips to Turkey and much Turkish food in Germany. Eat here. You will not regret it.

Very good food. Very hard to find a decent Turkish restaurant in NJ, but these guys are very very good. Food was amazing One down side is that they did shrink the size of the salmon portions. The lamb shawarma was amazing !!!

Sat right away and had some delicious bread to snack on! We got chicken gyro and lamb shish kebabs, both were very flavorful! The upstairs room is very nice, good for a date night out.

Nice dishes and quite delicious foods. The staffs were quite friendly and helpful. The bills required careful review to avoid excessive price.

FIRST OF ALL THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL, AND THE STAFF IS ABSOLUTELY STELLAR The food is unmatched absolutely great Halal food I was amazed by everything I had chicken and lamb with rice and the Turkish bread they gave me two kinds of sauces to dip everything SOOOO amazing the salad and rice on the plate so good I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

It's the only restaurant in the US I'd miss if I'm outside of the US. Food tastes great and authentic (certified by Turkish friend from Turkey), and deserts are the best (best and authentic baklava around). Service is good, good decorations and atmosphere. It is easily the best middleeastern food in the central jersey. It's amazing that it keeps its quality and even improves it all these years. It's my favorite, and I almost don't want to recommend it so I can keep it to myself.

Idk how this place only has a 4 start rating. Went here for lunch today and was blown away by the flavors, presentation, and overall hospitality. Not to mention, the BREAD! One of the best I’ve had! 5 stars in my book .

We were pleasantly surprised by this cozy Mediterranean spot we stumbled upon while visiting New Brunswick. They have takeout downstairs and dining area upstairs. We shared a few dishes: eggplant salad, feta plate and falafel platter with creamy hummus. The tangy feta was served with slices of cucumbers, tomatoes and olives. The smooth humus was served with four falafel placed on top. The eggplant salad was seasoned well. The fresh baked bread definitely elevates the dishes. Everything was incredibly flavorful and clearly made with fresh ingredients. We didn't finish so don't over order. The service was another highlight. Our server was genuinely sweet and attentive as busy as it was. We didn't have room for dessert, but the baklava looked absolutely delicious - definitely something to come back for!
